World Pharmacist Day Celebrated at NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar
Every year 25th September marks the World Pharmacists Day. FIP, the International Pharmaceutical Federation, encourages pharmacists to use this day to organise activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world. The theme for this year is “Pharmacists: Your medicines experts”.
FIP focuses on the extensive expertise that pharmacists have and put to use every day to ensure better patient health. This expertise is applied through science and research, through educating the next generation and NIPER is contributing towards this cause by training the pharmacy students of the institute.
To mark this day, an essay competition on topic “IS YOUR PHARMACIST A MEDICINES EXPERT?” was organized among students across the institute. Many students participated in the event. The winner and runner up would be awarded at a later point of time. A group photograph of the stduents and staff was also captured on the ocassion.

In addition, pharmaceutical sciences experts from M/s Vanta Biosciences, Bengaluru, Dr. Raghunandan and Dr. Vyas S. have also been invited to address and interact with the students on the theme of the World Pharmacists Day- “Pharmacists : Your medicines experts”.
NIPER, SAS Nagar stands committed to promote excellence in pharmaceutical education and practice through such activities.
