Workshop on enhancing teaching skills held:Dev Angels Alumni Association in collaboration with Placement Cell of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh organised a seven- days international workshop on ‘Accelerated Need for New Skills in Teaching Career: Unlocking Job Opportunities in India & Abroad’.
The week-long workshop was held at the premises of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sec 36 here and focused on different techno-pedagogical and digital skills that are linked to skill based learning for exploring career perspectives in teaching in India & abroad.
This workshop was planned and organised under the leadership of Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, Secretary Dev Samaj and Chairman Dev Samaj College of Education and Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Principal of Dev Samaj College of Education.
More than 250 participants attended this workshop, which was organised in hybrid mode. Regular students attended this offline whereas the rest of the participants joined through Live YouTube streaming.
On the concluding day, Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education welcomed all the resource persons, she said , “The workshop conducted by eminent panelists empowered pupil- teachers with various skill sets which will be of great use in their real classroom teaching later.”
“The thrust of these deliberations was on the need for effective ICT based pedagogical, presentation and communication skills of teachers and also to make pupil-teachers aware about the opportunities related to artificial intelligence in education,” added Dr Agnese.

During the workshop, Dr. Anuradha Sekhri from Institute for Development and Communication, Panjab University Research Centre, who has been a resource person for this workshop emphasized on understanding the learning styles of students to be a successful teacher.
Another resource person, Dr. Namrita Jouhal from Oxford International College enlightened the students about the opportunities available overseas. She further trained students about resume writing and communication skills during online teaching programmes.

Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
