Upinder Ahluwalia is best choice for Mayor post: former Dy CM
In her last stint as Mayor , Upinder Ahluwalia had served with full dedication and efficiency. Her long experience and her capability to carry out administrative duties make her a best and obvious choice for Panchkula MC Mayor, said Chander Mohan the former Haryana deputy CM.
“You all are well aware of her uncompromised work ethics with no compromise when it comes to development and welfare of the general public.”
He was addressing a public rally at sector 21 market here on Thursday during inauguration of a poll office of Naveen Bansal , a party candidate from ward no 13.
While stressing upon the need to work hard at grassroots level, Chander Mohan said that we need to put up a united effort to win the MC poll with a thumping majority . We have seven days and these days we need to do work equal to 70-day. Thus the need of hour to work hard and ensure all party candidates win on all 20 wards, he asserted.
During the occasion he along with Upinder Ahluwalia also released Navin’s poll manifesto.
Addressing the meeting , Upinder said that serving Panchkula is like worship for me. Continuing my dedication to people , I reiterate my resolve to raise the efficiency and livability of both urban and rural areas under the corporation.

Later in day she also addressed public meetings at Kundi and Maheshpur villages where she ensured people to improve health & sanitation , ensure regular potable water supply, relocation of the dumping site away from the residential area , solving stray animals problems, betterment of slum areas, increased police patrolling and installation of CCTV cameras , maintenance and beautification of public parks, landscaping of arterial roads, installation and repair of street lights, establishment of Old age home in villages and shelter homes for the underprivileged , dedicated beat constables for the safety and assistance of senior citizens and women and installation of a public libraries in community centers and in villages .
