Tushar Foundation, a nationally recognized Non Governmental Organisation(NGO) awarded as one of the best NGOs of the region by the Governor of Punjab, organized the 2nd Edition of ‘Run for Kesari’ — a 5-kilometer charity run that was flagged off from Chandigarh Club. The event was aimed at supporting the education of underprivileged children from Mauli Jagran in Chandigarh. Due to contributions from participants and supporters, NGO Tushar Foundation was able to donate a total of ₹21,000/- to support the education of children in need.
“Run for Kesari was not just a run for fitness — it was a run for hope, opportunity, and a brighter future,” said Yadvinder Singh, Director, Tushar Foundation.
“We aim to organise such charity events from time to time and request support partners and donors from all over India to come forward in this noble cause and create a difference,” said Kiranjot Kaur, the other Director of Tushar Foundation.
Both Yadvinder Singh and Kiranjot Kaur emphasized that the run was dedicated entirely to a noble cause — uplifting rural children through education.
Meanwhile, the event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of around 200 participants, each running with purpose and passion. Adding a rich cultural flavor to the morning, participants were treated to spirited Bhangra and awe-inspiring Gatka performances. A young Master Trainer Harsimar Singh conducted a warm up session for the participants.
The
run was officially flagged off by celebrity fitness influencer Tripat Singh, whose energetic presence set an inspiring tone for the morning. He was joined by Yadvinder Singh at the start line. All runners donned vibrant Kesari-colored T-shirts, creating a visually stunning and festive atmosphere in celebration of Baisakhi.
The post-run felicitation ceremony was graced by Sukhjinder Behl, President of Sector-8 Gurudwara Sahib Patshahi Dasvi. Kiranjot Kaur too was present. To further recognize their efforts, each participant received a finisher certificate and post-run refreshments.
