- On 14.2.2018, Chandigarh Traffic Police has conducted a special drive against various traffic offences in the city in the morning hours from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM. During this drive, total 72 offenders were booked for various traffic violations including 27 for the violation of overspeeding and 10 for the violation of Silencer non functional/Bullet Patakha.
- Further, as a part of “Make Chandigarh Honk Free”, special campaigns were organized at Punjab University, Sector 14, Transport Area, Sector 26, ISBT Sector 43, near District Court Sector 43 and Sector 32, Chandigarh, in which, 605 Nos. of “I Will Not Honk” Stickers were distributed to the general public.
- Chandigarh Traffic Police appeals to the general public to obey traffic rules and not to Honk unnecessarily while driving their vehicles in the city.
