THE ranks Shoolini at Number 1 for sciences, Number 2 in Engineering
In yet another major achievement for Shoolini University, the Times Higher Education (THE) has placed Shoolini University as the highest ranking institution for Physical Sciences and the second highest in Engineering in the country. This includes all institutions – both public and private – in the country.
These rankings come on the heels of THE placing the University as the over-all number one private university in the country. In the latest subject wise rankings announced today, Shoolini University has been placed in the 201 to 250 band globally in both engineering and Physical sciences.
Times Higher Education has ranked 1306 institutions in the engineering section globally which includes 60 from India.
In Physical Sciences, Shoolini University has been in the 201-250 band globally out of 1307 institutions which include 52 institutions from India. The category includes the universities that are leading across the disciplines of Maths and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Environment Sciences, and Earth and Marine Sciences. The institutions include the IITs which had applied for the rankings.
Conveying his greetings to the faculty and students, Chancellor Prof P K Khosla said the university would strive to be among the top 200 in the rankings next year.
Pro Chancellor Mr Vishal Anand, while congratulating the staff and students, said that the rankings were remarkable and achieved during the debut of the university in the THE rankings. “This underlies the quality of teaching, research and patents at the university”, he added.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said “it may appear unbelievable but it is the underdogs who regularly do the undoable and unbelievable quoting the examples set by the likes of Dhirubhai Ambani and Elon Musk”.
Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
