The Crime Branch of Chandigarh police got a major breakthrough

In the ongoing scenario of gang war in Punjab the Crime Branch of Chandigarh police got a major breakthrough by arresting two gangsters of Jaipal Gang, who were planning to kill a person due to their old rivalry.

These two were arrested on the basis of a secret information that “two persons namely Saraj and Arjun who are relatives and are roaming in the area of Chandigarh and they have procured one country made pistol to assassinate a person. On the basis of secret information naka was laid near school, Sec.45, Chandigarh and from where both accused :-

1. Saraj @ Bau S/o Buta Singh Vill. Khalchiyan Distt. Ferozepur, Punjab. Age 30 years.

2. Arjun @ Ajju S/o Des Raj R/o Vill. Khalchiyan Distt. Ferozepur, Punjab Age 22 years.

Were apprehended while they were riding in a Swift car No. PB05AE-9641 they were stopped at naka and Arjun tried to run away from the spot, but was apprehended, on the basis of suspicion he was checked and 304 grams heroin was recovered from him and from the possession of Saraj one country made pistol of 315 bore was recovered alongwith one live cartridge, both were arrested in case FIR No. 308 dated 20.8.2017 u/s 21 NDPS Act and 25/54/59 Arms Act PS-34, Chandigarh. The detail of recovery is as under:-

Both the accused have tented past, accused Saraj involved in 8 Criminal cases i.e Murder, Attempt to murder, hurt, Arms Act and NDPS Act. He has been convicted in a murder case and is presently on bail from court and also facing trail in these criminal cases.

 Whereas five criminal cases of Murder, Attempt to murder, Arms Act and NDPS Act were pending against accused Arjun and he is absent in all these five cases. With their arrest Chandigarh police not only recovered illegal contraband and weapon but also saved one life.
