The Annual Mega Festival of SVGOI on 28th Oct, 2017 observed more than 30 events in cultural and social categories. Two Days Mega Cultural Fest “Spontania 2K17” held on 27th & 28th October, 2017 in Swami Vivekananda Group Of Institutes (SVGOI). The second Day of the event was the inaugurated at the campus, in the presence of celebrity from the region Mohanbir Singh Sidhu Additional Director Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab & Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Sub Divisional Magistrate (Rajpura). Guest of Honor of the evening Mr. Naresh Behl, Manger HDFC, Sr. Gurmeet Singh ‘Meet Hayer’ (MLA Barnala) & Sh. Surinder Singh – SHO (Banur), Chairman SVGOI-Sh. Ashwani Garg, President SVGOI-Sh .Ashok Garg Director General SVGOI-Ms .Aruna Bhardhwaj, director SVIET-Er. Amardeep Singh and Dr. Archana Gupta Director Academics, Talwinder Randhawa also presided over the function. The event started with GaneshVandana– Indian Classical Performance by our students followed by other colorful event .
Spontania is the annual cultural mega festival of SVGOI and as the name suggests, the event is full of vigor and energy of students, faculty, participating individuals from various intra-colleges under the institutes and sponsors from various local and national level organizations. It is an interactive ground for dynamic youth from various courses.
Students get together to celebrate the spirit of life by performing in various cultural and social events in various dimensions of performing arts. There are Mimicry, Skit, Face Painting, Dance to Express Solo, Shipwreck, Free Style Dance, Talk Show, Group Dance, Makeup on, Sketch Poster, Stand Up Comedy, Just a Minute, Regional Dance & most awaited Star Night.
After the various performances the Prize Distribution Ceremony organized in which the wining Houses & Students were awarded with certificates and cash prizes among which in Mime – Saif won the 1st prize Marketing- Raju bagged the 1st position in Qawaali was won by the House Green Gladiators, Abhinav achieved the 1st position in Solo Singing, Group Singing was won by the House White many other awards were distributed the all the winners of the various activities.
Spontania-Enthusia 2K17, a colour-filled & colour-inspired extravaganza of fun-filled & fun-motivated events, witnessed more than 30 programs in Flag Ship, The event was enthusiastically celebrated among jam packed audience. Evening functions on the event day drew the largest ever audiences. More than 500 students participated in the event and even those who have not participated, their enthusiasm and good wishes imparted energy to the active
Ms. Aruna Bhardhwaj concluded in her words that with the support and guidance of the students we hope to take this endeavour to the highest level of excellence and envisage becoming a trend setter for all other junior students in the campus for the coming years.
Mr. Ashwani Garg was immensely proud of the efforts put into the event, the turnout at the venue and the overall success of the show. As much as the DJ Night pumped up the energy to conclude Spontania on a high note with the announcing of Ms. Spontania `Shuriti` white Nepoleon & Mr. Spontania Title to `Shahid` from Red Roman House. The imperative of this event was team effort.
