Teej Monsoon festival celebrated at GGI:The jovial festival of Teej was celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Gulzar Group of Institutes .Teej refers to the monsoon festival observed particularly in western and northern states of India. The girls recited Bolian and performed Giddha to welcome the Savan. The rain month with which the festival is associated. The girls, wearing traditional, colourful dresses broke into dances on the beats of the dhol. A musical performance was presented by the students in the form of folk song. Teej is incomplete without Mehandi and Bangles. Bangles were displayed and students exhibited their talents by making beautiful Mehandi designs.
On this occasion gala of events Mehandi, Rangoli, Make-Over, Pot Painting, Tattoo Making, Card Making, Photography and Nail Art competition caught fancy of all. Executive Director of GGI Gurkirat Singh said that the festival reminds one of the happy times in life.

The festival was traditionally celebrated in Punjab during the month of rain and rued that traditional festivals like these were being forgotten by the younger generation, who spend most of their times on internet and watching movies. He also guided the students to celebrate such traditional festivals so as to keep alive among the present generation of our society.
