Taranpreet’s inning went in vain as Rose Zone beat Leisure Zone by eight wickets

 Despite a quickfire 92 off 67 balls from Taranpreet Singh in the Men’s Seniors of the UTCA Domestic Cricket Tournament being played at Launching Pad Cricket Academy, Mohali, Leisure Zone faced an eight-wicket defeat against Rose Zone. Leisure Zone was all out for 272 runs wherein top scorerTaranpreet Singh (92) smashed three sixes and nine fours. Pradeep Yadav contributed 44 runs. Abhishek Saini and Karthik took three wickets each for Rose Zone. In reply, three half-centuries were scored by Rose Zone wherein  knocks from Tushar Joshi (62), Nehal Pajni (60) and unbeaten Nikhil Sharma (50) were commendable. Rose Zone surpassed the given target in the 35th over with the loss of two wickets.

Meanwhile, two matches of Under 16 Multi Days kick off . In the first match held at SSCA Cricket Academy, the Terrace Zone team was all out at 266 runs against Bird Zone. Unbeaten skipper Daksh Kashyap (160) emerged as the top scorer while no other batter could support him. Yash Jaswal added 46 runs. From the opposition side, Hitansh Singh took four wickets while Vansh clinched three wickets. In reply, Bird Zone had scored 224/2 by the end of the day’s play. Unbeaten skipperParth Sengupta scored 89 while opener Amit Kumar scored 89 runs. In the second match of the day played at Baba Balak Nath Cricket Academy, Kambala, Plaza Zone was all out cheaply at 172 . Skipper Kiyan Sharma (51) was the top scorer. Yuvraj took three wickets. In reply, Sukhna Zone made 113/2 with the help of Anurag Budhwar (50).
