Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while addressing the gathering at the state-level Maharaja Daksha Prajapati Jayanti celebration held today in Hisar district made several key announcements.
He announced that Arya Nagar and Kamri village will soon be included in the Mahagram scheme. Additionally, if land is available in Arya Nagar village, a community centre named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will be established. He also announced that an Urban Health Center will be constructed on the land available near the Gangwa Road, Saket Colony Community Center.
The Chief Minister announced that a 15 kW solar system would be installed at Guru Daksha ITI in Arya Nagar, Hisar, and a digital library would be constructed at the ITI. Moreover, a special pipeline will be used to address the drinking water problem. He also approved a sum of Rs. 21 lakh for the construction of a shed at the Kumhar Dharamshala in Prem Nagar, Hisar. He said that the budget for the Haryana Matti Kala Board would be increased.
Furthermore, Sh. Nayab Singh announced the construction of the road from Sapra Hospital to the bypass Rajgarh Road, as well as the construction of a 6 km road from Talwandi Rukka village to Chanana village by the Haryana State Marketing Board in Hisar district. He said that the remodeling work will be carried out from Burji number 11300 to 18600 tail of the Chaudhriwas sub-minor. In Fatehabad district, half an acre of land will be provided at 50 percent collector rate for the construction of Kumhar Dharamshala as per the policy, said the Chief Minister.
Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that years ago, Prajapati Brahma created the universe with panchamahabhutas — which inherit the properties of earth (prithvi), water (jala), fire (tejas), wind (vayu) and space (akasha). Bhagwan Brahma’s son Daksha Prajapati used these elements to create pottery. Thus, Maharaja Daksha Prajapati was the first artist among humans, and potters are considered his descendants.
The Chief Minister said that the invention of the chaak further advanced the pottery art. Making pottery is not just an art but also reflects the artistic thinking, skill, and craftsmanship of Prajapati. He emphasized that in today’s era of globalization, quality, skill, and art are of special importance. However, with the advent of plastic and glass utensils in the age of science, the demand for earthenware has decreased significantly. Therefore, it is necessary to transform traditional skills into commercial proficiency to thrive in this competitive era, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister urged the Prajapati community to use modern techniques along with traditional methods to create not only earthen utensils but also decorative items, which have high demand abroad and can be exported.
The government has launched several schemes for the welfare and upliftment of the backward classes
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the government’s endeavour has been to ensure the progress of all sections, uplift everyone, and provide equal rights to all. In this direction, the government has taken several concrete steps to deliver the benefits of development to those who were left behind for various reasons, in line with Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s Antyodaya philosophy. The government has launched numerous schemes for the welfare and upliftment of the backward classes, he added.
He said that people from the backward classes in Haryana had long demanded an increase in the creamy layer income limit. Recently, the government fulfilled this demand by raising the creamy layer income limit from Rs. 6 lakh per annum to Rs. 8 lakh in line with the central government’s criteria. He added that 8 percent representation has been given to BC-A in Panchayati Raj institutions. Additionally, a Backward Classes Commission has been formed for the welfare and upliftment of the backward classes, shared Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
Opposition always ignored the rights of Backward Class
The Chief Minister accused the Opposition of ignoring the rights of the backward classes during their tenure. He claimed that they opposed the report of Kaka Kalelkar and the Mandal Commission. Even when Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi introduced a bill for BC-A rights, the opposition opposed it as well. However, Sh. Narendra Modi remained steadfast and provided 27 percent reservation for backward classes in jobs and educational institutions.
Will Congress leaders ever honour the Backward Classes like BJP, questions CM
Nayab Singh Saini while targeting Congress leaders, accused them of misleading people with falsehoods. He said that while Congress had governments at both the centre and state levels for years, they neglected the interests of SC-BC classes and exploited them. He promised that the present government would not allow the exploitation of the poor and would work to strengthen and uplift them.
Giving his own example, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi entrusted the responsibility of the state’s leadership to the son of a poor man. He challenged Congress leaders to show if they would give such respect to the backward classes.
The Chief Minister said that during Congress rule, jobs were given only through ‘Parchi Karchi’. However, during the tenure of the present state government, jobs are being given based on merit. Today, even children from poor families are becoming officers in Haryana, something they had never imagined before, he said.

Earlier speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta said that the state government has started celebrating the anniversaries of great personalities at the government level, which brings awareness to society. He said that the Chief Minister has worked for the welfare of the poor and ensured that government schemes reach even the last person. Benefits worth Rs. 2000 crores have been given to the beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, he said.
The Health Minister added that the state government has given the poor their rights through schemes like the Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MMGAY), Haryana Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana, ownership of shops, and land ownership rights in Lal Dora areas. The Happy Card scheme provides up to 1000 kilometers of free travel per year for those in need.
Guru Daksha Jayanti celebrated officially for the first time in Haryana, Ranbir Gangwa
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa thanked the Chief Minister for the decision to celebrate Maharaja Daksha Prajapati’s Jayanti at the official level. He acknowledged that both the central and state governments have taken many steps for the welfare of the backward classes. He said that for the first time, Guru Daksha Jayanti is being celebrated officially by the state government, and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for this initiative.
He praised the present state government for celebrating the anniversaries of great personalities officially and for honouring them. He said that the Prajapati community is hardworking and honest. Since Sh. Nayab Saini became Chief Minister, he has been addressing people’s problems daily and giving them respect, said Sh. Ranbir Gangwa.
He said that the government has worked to fill backlog positions in government jobs. Sh. Ranbir Gangwa criticised previous governments for leaving positions vacant under the pretext of incompetence and highlighted that the current government is providing jobs based on merit without any Parchi-Kharchi.
