SpiceJet Airlines to Commence as One-Way Flight For Dehradun-Amritsar From January 20
Dehradun, especially known as the city of the Himalayas, is located amidst the Yamuna and Ganga River. The city is a portal to famous hill stations including Nainital, Auli, and Mussorie. Even though there exist a plethora of flights that are taken off daily from Dehradun or land at the Jolly Airport (the biggest airport of the city), the passengers that need to travel to Amritsar have no other options than either getting to their desired destination through railways or roadways. Wondering why? In recent times, there isn’t any direct flight between Amritsar and Dehradun.
What Exactly is the SpiceJet Airline?
According to the recent reports, Spicejet – a cheap airline flight, having its headquarter office in Gurgaon, India – would soon be introduced in Dehradun. SpiceJet is termed to be the 4th biggest airlines in India having 13.3 percent of market share. The airline isn’t confined to the territories of our country, instead, it comprises a total of 312 flights which covers 55 regions amongst which 47 destinations are in India whereas 7 destinations include the international territories. The SpiceJet was initially available in the central and major countries of our country i.e. Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and Kolkata. However, with the increase in the number of daily passengers flying to other domestic and international destinations, the operation of this specific airline expanded to several other regions including Dehradun.
With the introduction of SpiceJet in Dehradun, it is going to be the 9th domestic and 17th global airports which would support a direct flight to the Sri Guru Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar. As per the current sources, the private airline i.e. SpiceJet is all set to introduce a direct flight covering the distance between Amritsar and Dehradun on a daily basis. SpiceJet will begin its operation from 20th January 2019.
The Departure and Arrival Status of SpiceJet
According to Manoj Chansoria, the Sri Guru Das Jee International Airport Director, the SpiceJet would be taken off from Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport at 11.55 AM and its expected time to reach Amritsar is 12.35 PM, which means the passengers will arrive at their destination spot within 40 minutes.
