Special drive against consuming liquor at public place

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 06 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03 = 1 cases, PS-IA = 1 case, PS-IT Park = 1 case, PS-36 = 3 cases. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested for attempting robbery

Sh. Rakesh Kumar Jha R/o Village Mehsi, P.S. Mehsi, Distt. Sarsha Bihar, alleged that unknown occupants of car No. PB-07AK-5589 kidnapped complainant’s neighbor namely Phema R/o Village Mehsi, P.S. Mehsi, Distt. Sarsha Bihar, near Garcha turn on 01.04.2018. A case FIR No. 94, U/S 365, 394, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind.Area, Chandigarh. Later two accused namely Jogesh Suman R/o Ward No. 5, Sunder Nagar, New Preetam Cloth House, Nangal Road, Hoshiarpur (PB) and Vivek Sundha R/o New Gandhi Nagar, Mukundpur Road, Bangan Distt. SBS Nagar (PB) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 103, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Ashok Manchanda R/o # 2467, Sector-23/C, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of TSR No. PB-65AK-1683 namely Abhinav R/o # 354, Ph-2, BDC Sec-26, Chandigarh hit to Complainant’s father Satpal Manchanda (pedestrian) near Grain Market Road, Sec-26, Chandigarh on 01-04-2018. Complainant’s father got injured and admitted in GH-16, Chandigarh where he was referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Sahib Singh R/o # 5610, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown persons stolen away Complainant’s Hero Honda Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01BF-7540 from PGI Parking, Chandigarh on 01.04.2018. A case FIR No. 98, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Ramesh Kumar R/o # 54, Room No. 6, Sector-42/B, Village Attawa, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away two wheels of his TATA Tiago car No. CH-01BQ-7129 while parked near Gurudwara Sahib, Village Attawa, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 110, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Shiv Murat Singh R/o # 438/E, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away bag containing cash Rs. 25000/-, Property Documents, Adhar Card, Pan Card etc. from near Shop No. 1, Motor Market, Sector-48/A Chandigarh on 01-04-2018. A case FIR No. 56, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Murder

A case FIR No. 95, U/S 302 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh against unknown person who murdered a person namely Mohan Lal R/o Village Kalwari, PS-Gurukul, Bhera, Distt. Hardoi (UP) at Jhuggi, Sanjay Labour Colony, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
