Special drive against consuming liquor at public place

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 07 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 07 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 1 case, PS-IA = 2 cases, PS-31 = 2 cases, PS-39 = 1 case, PS-Maloya = 1 case.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested for Burglary

Sh. Virender Kumar R/o # 160, Gali No. 7, Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen cash Rs. 700/800 & some documents from Har Har Mahadev Mandir near Bus Stop, Manimajra, Chandigarh on intervening night 25/26-07-2018. Later Shivam Tewari R/o # 606, Kishangarh, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 329, U/S 380, 457, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Love Kush Aggarwal R/o # B-09, 1043, Dashmesh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Honda Aviator Scooter No. CH-01AH-3544 from Parking Area of Naveditya Hostel, PGI, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 219, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Jaswant Singh R/o # 2041, Block-19, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-1AB-2289 from Parking Area near his residence. A case FIR No. 147, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A lady resident of Sector-32, Chandigarh alleged that unknown persons exchanged ATM card from her son at SBI ATM, Sector 32, Chandigarh and withdrawn Rs. 24,500/- from her account by cheating. A case FIR No. 268, U/S 420, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 278, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bablu Ram R/o # 742, Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon, Mohali (PB) who alleged that driver of Etios car No. CH-01BE-7585 namely Ganga Kumar R/o # 2565, Sector-35/C, Chandigarh hit to complainant’s Scooter No. CH-01AQ-7728 near turn, Sector-36/A-B, Chandigarh on 22-07-2018. Complainant got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 164, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vishal R/o # 3112, Sector-25, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. —1309 sped away after hitting to Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01BC-7893 driven by Honey at light point, Sector 25/38, Chandigarh on 25-07-2018. Complainant (pillion) and driver of motor cycle both got injured and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
