Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17 = 1 case, PS-26 = 1 case, PS-IT Park = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 2 cases.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Pavitter Singh R/o Village Hassanpur, Prohtan, Distt. Patiala (PB) at road in front of Main Gate, Botanical Garden, Sarangpur, Chandigarh and recovered 10 Injections of drugs (Bupernorphine & Pheniramine Maleate) and 110 gram heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 169, U/S 21, 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Sh. Tejinder Kumar R/o # 370/A, Samadhi Gate, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Bajaj Platina M/Cycle No. CH-03Z-8359 while parked near Plot No. 4, Ph-I, Ind. Area, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 195, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 167, U/S 435 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jagjeet Singh R/o # 610, Milk Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown persons set fire on his car No. CH-01BJ-0610 while parked near his house on the night intervening 28/29-06-2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Attempt to damage property
A case FIR No. 288, U/S 427, 511 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manjit Sehdev R/o # 5005/2, MHC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who alleged that unknown person sprinkled petrol on Innova car and Skoda car while parked near his house. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Kidnapping
A case FIR No. 257, U/S 452, 365, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of person resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh who alleged that four persons resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh kidnapped complainant’s sister-in-law from his residence on 29.06.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 168, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of person resident of Village Dhanas, Chandigarh who reported that his daughter age about 15 years and his relatives two daughters age about 17 years & 14 years have been missing/kidnapped from his residence since 28.06.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
