Special drive against consuming liquor at public place

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 11 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 11 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 11 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-19 = 3 cases, PS-MM = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 1 case, PS-31 = 3 cases, PS-36 = 1 case & PS-Maloya = 1 case.

 This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Kadam Singh R/o # 118, New Police Colony, Sector-26, Chandigarh near Gate Shivalik Garden in front of Wine Shop, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 25.03.2018 and recovered 10.85 gram heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 121, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Kavi Bisht R/o # 315, VPO-Kansal, (PB) near Gurukul School, Kacha Rasta Turn, PWT, MM, Chandigarh on 25.03.2018 and recovered 5.5 gram heroin from his possession. A case FIR No. 122, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Shubdeep Singh R/o # 4821, Gobind Nagar, Ropar, (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away his Pulsar M/Cycle No. PB12N7582 while parked near Dispensary Gate, Sector-8B, Chandigarh on 25-03-2018. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 354, Ph-4, Mohali, (PB) reported that unknown person stolen away his car No. PB65B2114 from BSNL parking Sector-17, Chandigarh on 23-03-2018. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for Theft

A girl resident of Sector-4C, Chandigarh alleged that Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 93, Sector-8A, Chandigarh was caught red handed by public person while he was stealing her purse containing cash Rs. 1940/- and documents from her Activa Scooter No. HR-21J-2290 near Budha Garden, Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh on 25-03-2018. Accused has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 37, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Sh. Karam Singh R/o # 1051, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh alleged that two unknown person snatched away his purse containing cash Rs. 400/- & mobile phone at Leisure Valley, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 25.03.2018. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 356, 379, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Deepak R/o # 415/3, Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh alleged that 4 unknown person on motor cycle snatched away her mobile phone near Smart School, Sector-53, Chandigarh on 25.03.2018. A case FIR No. 97, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A person resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh reported that his son age about 12 years went for morning walk at Mori Gate, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 25.03.2018 and missing since then. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
