Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 07 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 07 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 07 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-Sarangpur = 3 cases, PS-26 = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 1 case & PS-49 = 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Cheating
A lady resident of Janakpuri, New Delhi alleged that Manish Kumar R/o # 2140/D, Block No. 9, Sec-63, Chandigarh cheated complainant regarding selling his share of H.No. 3306, Sector-32, Chandigarh to complainant by concealing the facts of the agreement dated 24.08.2018 which was already unenforceable/null and void. A case FIR No. 99, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Sh. Deepanshu R/o # 29, Type-4, PGI Complex, Sector-12, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his M/Cycle No. CH-01AV-3389 from parking near old Distt. Court, Sector-17, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 100, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A lady resident of Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away her Activa Scooter No. CH-01AU-4627 while parked near Mukut Hospital, Sector-34, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 132, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A girl resident of Sector 7/C, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person on motor cycle snatched away her purse containing cash about Rs. 4000-5000/- and some documents near H.No. 1581, Sector-7C, Chandigarh on 06.04.2018. A case FIR No. 105, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Jagmohan Pal R/o Seat 97, Service Block, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away battery of his Bolero Pick-up No. PB65L8249 while parked near Police Colony, Sector-42C, Chandigarh on 06.04.2018. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
