Special drive against consuming liquor

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 08 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 08 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 08 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-17 = 1 case,  PS-Sarangpur = 1 case, PS-IA = 1 case, PS-IT Park = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 1 case, PS-39 = 1 case, PS-Maloya = 1 case.

 This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Dowry

A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others all resident of Distt. Rewari, (HR) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

A lady resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others all resident of Distt. Ambala, (HR) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 83, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shubham R/o # 96, Ph-3, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh against driver of four wheeler No. CH01TB5801 who sped away after hitting to complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01BP8984 near Community Center Bapu Dham, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 17.03.2018. Pillion rider namely Mohmad Amir and Brij Mohan got injured admitted in GH-16 & PGI, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Rajesh Kumar R/o # F-86/A, Ph-7, Ind. Area, Mohali (PB) arrested and bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 59, U/S 279, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Const. Sandeep Kumar, IC 51 Battalion, CRPF, Kishangar Barrier, Chandigarh against driver of CH-01BN-0973 who sped away after hitting tobarrier post gate at Kishangarh Barrier, Chandigarh on 16.03.2018. Later accused Shubham R/o # GH-14, Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 5, Panchkula (HR) Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 47, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Guddu Diwakar R/o # 164, Valmiki Colony, Ph-6, Mohali (PB) against driver of Auto No. PB-65AH-5332 namely Jitender R/o H.No. 32, Phase 6 Mohali PB who rashly & negligently overturned his auto near Motor Market, Sector-48, Chandigarh. Complainant’s friend Raju R/o # 484, Ph-1, Mohali (PB) was got injured admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Accused arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 113, U/S 279, 337 added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vikas Sharma R/o Ward No. 7, Virender Nagar, Pachori Gali, Distt-Bhind (MP) against unknown driver of Truck who sped away after hitting to complainant’s car No. MP30C4426 near Shahpur Light Point, Chandigarh on 17.03.2018. Passengers in car got injured in which one person namely Manoj Kumar declared dead by doctors. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Sh. Ravinder R/o # 157, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh alleged that Surjit Singh R/o # 314, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, Sukhdev Singh R/o # 14, Dashmesh Nagar, Village Dhakoli, Zirakpur (PB), Pardeep R/o Derabassi, (PB) and others applied for two wheeler loan by submitted complainant’s documents without his consent. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B, 473 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Pankaj Sharma R/o # 1262, Sector-15, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away his Activa Scooter No. HR03L7460 while parked near Plot No. 9, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 17-03-2018. A case FIR No. 73, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-IA, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Sudhir Kumar R/o # 3158, Sector-38/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one laptop from his residence on 17-03-2018. A case FIR No. 114, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady R/o Sector-37, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away one laptop & bag from her residence on 16-03-2018. A case FIR No. 115, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Missing/abducted

A person resident of Sector-32, Chandigarh reported that her daughter age about 14 years has been missing/abducted from near her residence since 16.03.2018. A case FIR No. 101, U/S 363 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
