Chandigarh Traffic Police in association with Market Welfare Association of Sector 24-C and Labour Committee of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal has organized Road Safety awareness campaign regarding wearing of helmet for female two wheeler riders in UT Chandigarh infront of SCO No. 5, Sector 24, Chandigarh. In this road safety awareness programme Sh. Shashank Anand, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security, Sh. Jaswinder Singh, DSP/Traffic (Admn, R&D and Road Safety), Sh. Charanjiv Singh, Chairman, Sh. Anil Vohra, President, Sh. Ravinder Singh Billa, Vice President and other staff of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, Inspector Central Zone, Incharge CTP and staff were participated.

During this road safety campaign, more than 30 helmets were distributed to those female two wheeler riders who were not wearing helmet. Further, those female two wheeler riders who were wearing helmet were awarded with Parkar Pen, Mobile Anti Virus, Stationary set, Touch Pen, small Chairs for Children and Umbrellas. More than 300 road safety litterateurs were distributed to female two wheeler riders. Chandigarh Traffic Police appeals to the female two wheeler riders to wear ISI helmet for their own safety.
