In view of the Chandigarh Urban Festival organized on 25.03.2018 from 4.30 PM to 9.30 PM at Jan Marg from Matka Chowk to Tourism Information Centre (High Court Chowk) Chandigarh, the following traffic restrictions/diversions shall be imposed by Chandigarh Traffic Police on 25.03.2018 from 2.00 PM to 9.30 PM. The road users are therefore, advised to use alternative routes during the timings given below. Inconvenience to general public is regretted:-
From Matka Chowk to Tourism Information Centre:
- The road from Matka Chowk straight Turn Sector-9/10, straight Chowk Sector 9/10/3/4 (New Barricade), Straight Chowk Sector-3/4 & 1 (Old Barricade) straight High Court Chowk, shall remain closed to general public with vehicles from 2.00 PM to 9.30 PM on 25.3.2018.
- People coming from Panchkula and Zirakpur follow the route through Madhya Marg then to Chowk Sector-8/9/17/18, they can park their Vehicles in Sector-17 Parking or they can follow the Sector-9 divider road and park their vehicles behind the UT. Secretariat and Chandigarh Housing Board Parkings etc.
- People coming from Mohali side can use Shanti Kunj Parking, backside parking lot of Hotel Shivalik View, Rose Garden Parking etc.
- People coming from Panjab University side can use the leisure Valley Parking , Arts & Museum Parking and Rose Garden Parking etc.
Note: –
1. Only emergency Vehicles i.e. Ambulance, Fire tender may be given clear pass on this road.
- Do not park the vehicles on any slip road.
