Punjab Art Initiative, the Public Art Festival supported by the Yuj Arts Foundation, invites you to an inspiring Poetry Session at the Punjab Literature Festival this Sunday, October 13th. Immerse yourself in a creative journey that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Punjab, featuring both established and emerging poets. Organised in collaboration with Bookchor, the session promises a diverse range of poetic styles, from traditional verses to contemporary spoken word performances.
“The Punjab Art Initiative is a celebration of the region’s art and culture and through this poetry session, we aim to spotlight the depth and diversity of state’s poetic tradition and connecting people with timeless power of words” says, Sumi Gupta, Curator of the Punjab Art Initiative.
The distinguished line-up includes Sahitya Akademi and Mira Award winner Shri Nand Kishore Anhad, Yash Bharti Award-winning author Khushbir Singh Shaad, alongside poets Amardeep Singh, Mukesh Aalam, and Shamsher Sahil. Their powerful readings and personal narratives are sure to leave the audience spellbound.

Punjab Art Initiative established in 2018, is a vibrant showcase of the diverse artistic expressions of Punjab. It is supported by The Yuj Arts Foundation and is also part of VR Punjab’s Connecting Communities© initiative that aims to encourage civic pride, strengthen the local economy, and enhance the city’s national and international image.
Punjab Art Initiative commenced its third edition on 29th September 2024. This year’s theme, ‘Transcending Boundaries,’ inspires artists to create innovative artworks and sculptures that reflect their vision, imagination, and artistic talents. Over 300 art installations, sculptures, paintings, and photographs are displayed at the festival, which will continue until 28th Oct 2024.
