Yesterday night a team of Sub-Division Central of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of DSP/Central assisted by SHO/Sarangpur achieved success to arrest accused in NDPS Case FIR No. case 261 dated 03.10.18 U/S 18 NDPS Act. On 03.10.18, SI Balbir along with police party apprehended Amarjit singh @ baroni s/o Hakam singh R/o # 123 vill Khuda Lahora U.T Chd Age 47 yrs near # 353 Googa Madi Gali Khuda Lahora Chandigarh while he was trying to escape after seeing the police party. He was apprehended on suspicion that he might be a thief or burglar and might have being possessing some stolen articles. During checking 510 Gram OPIUM was recovered from his possession. On asking he failed to produce any license and permit for keeping the same in his possession. He used to sell the same to drug addicts on a rate of Rs 1000/- per tola. He used to run a kiryana shop in village Khuda Lahora Chandigarh. Earlier he was also arrested by NCB & OPIUM was recovered from his possession.
