Prasadam and Eidi : DA for central government employees rises from 53% to 55% as Cabinet approves 2% hike
The Union Cabinet of India has approved 2% Dearness Allowance hike for central govt employees. With this revision, allowance rises from earlier 53% to 55%, boosting salaries. The present hike will be effective, retrospectively from 01 January, 2025.
It is pertinent to mention here that the last DA hike took place in July 2024, when it was raised from 50% to 53%.
In the festive seasons of Navratri and Eid ahead, this hike is just like Prasadam and Eidi, the gift to the centre government employees.
The present hike will benefit about 48.66 lakh Central Government employees and 66.55 lakhs pensioners, across India.
