Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, Secretary Industries and Commerce, Chandigarh Administration, while speaking during the IT Conclave being organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Chandigarh Administration and Software Technology Park of India stated that Chandigarh is an upcoming IT hub in the country and her focus is to develop an ecosystem where minimum government intervention is needed. She pledged her support to foster growth and innovation in the IT sector.
Mr. Rakesh Verma, Additional Director, STPI, while highlighting the contribution of STPI for the IT industry in India mentioned STPI has helped setting up IT parks across the country and the contribution of IT industry in GDP of India has increased significantly.
Mr. Madhu Sudan Vij, Chair of the Chandigarh Chapter of PHDCCI while giving the welcome address mentioned the significance of the IT industry in the economic growth of Chandigarh region. He emphasized its potential as a hub for innovation and technology.
Various sessions on Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Start ups were organized during the conclave.
