Pedestrian dies in hit-&-run

Pedestrian dies in hit-&-run: In a hit-and-run case, an unidentified pedestrian was killed after being knocked down by an unknown vehicle on the road separating Sector 40 and 55 chandigarh.

According to the police, the complainant, Home Guards volunteer Jaspal Singh, who was on patrolling the area when a person in his late 20s was trying to cross the road from sector 55side towards sector 40,  he suddenly reported that an unknown vehicle sped away after hitting a pedestrian, aged around 30.

The victim was taken to GMSH-16  by PCR, where he succumbed to his injuries.Police registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal code (IPS).
