Paras Health Gurugram Starts First OPD of Liver Transplant & GI Oncology in SonipatParas Health Panchkula hosted a successful Bariatric Workshop today, led by esteemed bariatric surgeons Dr Ravishankar Bhatt and Dr Amit Bansal. The workshop included live demonstrations of advanced bariatric surgical techniques, didactic lectures, and one-on-one discussions with attendees. The event marked another step forward in promoting cutting-edge surgical innovations for weight loss and metabolic health.
A 39-year-old Chandigarh resident was successfully operated during the workshop, showcasing the effectiveness of bariatric surgery in combating life-threatening weight-related health issues. His BMI was 44.2, and he was suffering from diabetes and obstructive sleep apnoea. Both patients underwent gastric bypass surgery, which aims to improve overall health by limiting food intake and enhancing the body’s ability to absorb nutrients.
