one day workshop on the topic of “ The Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018 “ was organized in Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh under the guidance of Shri Sanjay Baniwal, I.P.S. D.G.P., U.T., Chandigarh in which 107 police officers/officials of the rank of Inspector, Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector , Head Constable and Constable of Chandigarh Police have participated.
Shri Atul Sehti, Deputy District Attorney (Legal) of Chandigarh Police delivered lecture to the participants and made them aware about the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018 vide which various sections of Indian Penal Code , Indian Evidence Act , Criminal Procedure Code and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 have amended. The above workshop will be helpful for better implementation of amended provisions of new law and enhance the investigation skills of the participants, so they do investigation as per amended provisions.
The main objective of this workshop is to sensitize the police personnel regarding the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018.
