First time PHDCCI organized two days Blood donation camp at PITEX
Now need to remove the misconceptions about blood donation and make it a mass movement : Deputy Commissioner

Amritsar. Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar Ghansham Thori has told the common people that there is a need to remove the misconceptions about blood donation and make it a popular movement.
Thori was addressing the gathering on the occasion of the inauguration of the two-day blood donation camp organized by the Women’s Wing of the PHD Chamber in collaboration with the Khalsa Blood Donate Unit and Pulse Hospital during the 17th PITEX here today. He said that fulfilling the social responsibility, the blood donation camp is being organized here for the first time by the chamber. Anyone who comes here can donate blood voluntarily. Deputy Commissioner honored with a certificate to ASI Darshan Singh Punjab Police who donated blood 53 times.

Speaking on this occasion, Chairman of PHDCCI Punjab Chapter RS Sachdeva said that this initiative is being taken for the first time by PITEX. Which will be expanded in the future. He said that blood donation camp has been organized under the supervision of Dr. Gaurav Shori Pulse Hospital and President  Amandeep Singh Khalsa Blood Donate Unit Amritsar.
RS Sachdeva, Chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the youth should come forward to enhance the blood donation campaign. If the youth take forward the campaign towards blood donation, then no person will suffer untimely death owing to the lack of blood. Speaking on the occasion, Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce said that SHE Forum has been formed by the Chamber to involve more and more women and promote women entrepreneurs. Tina Aggarwal convener of SHE Forum in Amritsar said that during the blood donation camp organized today, people have donated blood voluntarily. This event will continue on Sunday also. On this occasion, many dignitaries including SHE Forum co-convenors Meena Singh and Sargun Sachdev were present.
