On the occasion of the completion of 7 years of the Modi government at the center, the Bharatiya Janata in villages, slum areas etc across the country and donate 50 thousand units of blood. For this purpose, the workers of the Chandigarh unit will also organise blood donation camps at five different places on May 29 and donate more than 1000 units of blood. Along with this, SEWA programs will be organised in more than 300 places on May 30. Health and sanitation workers engaged in human services will be honoured by the party and immunity boosters will be distributed among them. “This was stated by State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Arun Sood during the semi-virtual press conference held at the party office ‘Kamalam’ .
He said that since there is a shortage of blood in the hospitals during the summer, the blood donation camps are being organized in five districts by BJP Chandigarh on the request of the hospital authorities. These camps will be organised at P. G.I. Blood Donation Center, Rotary Bhawan Sector 37, Maharaja Agrasen Bhavan : Sector 30, Community CentreSector 46 and Community Centre Kishangarh Village, for which the services of doctors of P.G.I, GMCH Sector 32, GSSH Sector 16 and Rotary Bhavan are being availed.
He informed that for arrangements and roadmap of the programmes, virtual meetings of State official bearers, morcha, district, mandal, councilor, department and cell level have been done. all the workers will go in a small group and while following the corona guide lines, will go to people’s houses and distribute fruits, biscuits, juices, dry ration, herbs : giloy, ashwagandha and basota, immunity boosters, masks, sanitizers, chyawanprash, zinc and vitamin C tablets, medicines etc. to people with proper distance. They will also motivate people to take part in the cleanliness drive, do proper sanitisation at all times, download oximeter app on mobiles, conduct temperature tests with thermometers and encourage them to get vaccinated.
He said that on the direction of the central leadership, the party workers will visit orphanages, old age homes, ‘snehalya’, centres for mentally challenged patients, leprosy centres, centres for destitutes, slums, colonies, villages and serve people on humanitarian grounds. For this, complete preparations have been made by the party.
He said that the party workers have been working among the people since April during Lock Down-2. For assisting the people, a 24-hour helpline number: 86999 99599 has also been issued by the party. For the people suffering with corona, healthy and nutritious food is being prepared and sent to their homes after consulting dieticians. Free food is being delivered to 8300 homes from a kitchen named ‘Modi Rasoi’. Apart from this, free medicines, oxygen, Vixi, zinc and vitamin C tablets, ration, masks, sanitizers etc. are being distributed to the migrant laborers. Help is also being provided for looking up for hospital beds and their availability. 16 different teams have been formed under the supervision of the state president himself.
