NSS volunteers of Khalsa College plant saplings
NSS volunteers from Khalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies, Phase 3A, in collaboration with Punjab Environmental Society, planted saplings in various places on the college campus on one hand and college principal Dr. Harish Kumari on the other hand distributed more than 100 saplings to students and NSS volunteers.
The District Forest Officer (DFO) Guramanpreet Singh Bains attended the occasion as the chief guest. Plants distributed to the students included rosewood, neem, mango, jamun, sagwan, shady plants, etc. On this occasion, the DFO told the students that the environment remains clean by planting more saplings.

On this occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Harish Kumari said that we should plant green plants and oxygen-rich plants wherever possible and we should make others also aware to plant more saplings. She made the students aware of the responsibility of planting saplings for a cleaner and greener environment.
