NSS, DAV College, Chandigarh Organised 9th International day of yoga 2023: NSS, DAV College, Chandigarh Organised 9th International day of yoga 2023 by conducting a yog session (theme-“yoga for vasudhaiva kutumbakam”) at Basketball court, Dav college.
The session was scheduled in the morning at 6:30am by Dr.HARI KRISHAN, Department of transfusion medicine ,PGIMER ,Chandigarh.
As we all know yoga makes a person fit from inside and out. In the session We learned that Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health.
Mr. Hari educated volunteers about different type of asanas and the benefits of each and every asana and informed us that Practicing yoga asanas or poses helps control an individual’s mind, body, and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind; it helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxed. Yoga also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone.
For ex. Kundalini yog – this yoga introduce you to your inner soul. There are about 3 yoga chakras included in kundalini yoga: (a) Vinyasa yoga
(b) Bikram yoga
(c) Hatha yoga
Around 20-25 volunteers participated in it enthusiasmly and made there presence count by taking life pledge(to integrate yoga in my life by practising yoga regularly with my family and friends also encouraging them to adopt yoga for a healthy lifestyle)Yoga Day is a global event that celebrates the practice of yoga, a centuries-old tradition that has gained immense popularity worldwide. The celebration of this day highlights the importance of yoga in promoting health and well-being, fostering intercultural dialogue, and promoting peace and harmony

Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
