NIPER’s TDC-Dosage form (Formulation) inaugurated
The inauguration programme “Pharmaceutical Industrial training” in TDC dosage form (formulation) started with Facility Round. The “Ribbon cutting ceremony “was performed by the Chief Guest Sh B.K Samantray, Deputy Drugs Controller, sub Zonal Ofiice CDSCO , Badddi, the place which itself is the area of various pharmaceutical machinery .The layout of the Pharma machinery has been planned as per the sequence of process requirements of Dosage plants. The chief guest was briefed about the details of the facility by Rajkumar Naik, Scientist-TDC-Dosage Form (formulation).
The ceremony started with welcoming the guest followed by lamp lighting.
The introduction of facility and training programme was introduced by the Rajkumar Naik, Scientist-TDC-Dosage Form (Formulation) and present industrial training & the future plan of the facility was explained. He also mentioned that the discussion is going on with collaboration with Punjab Skill India Mission & National skill India mission (Punjab & Haryana State). They will extend the same for ITEC-participating countries.
He also mentioned that MOU with Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) is under review and soon will having the meeting with ASSOCHAM for further collaboration.
Director NIPER, Prof. Prof. Raghuram Rao Akkinepally in his address speech highlighted the importance of GMP facility for the industrial Training for the students of pharmaceutical sciences. This is the only GMP facility in the academic institutions in India which provides hands on training of Pharma Industrial exposure in the field of Formulation (OSD manufacturing).
Director appreciated the efforts, dedication of all team members including engineering section especially Mr. T.P.Singh, POC-Dosage-Eng.He also mentioned that we will extend this kind of Pharmaceutical Industrial training /skill devolvement training to the external students of neighboring pharmacy colleges, and Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajastan and other North Indian regional colleges.He requested to B.K Samantray. Deputy Drugs Controller, sub Zonal Ofiice CDSCO, for guidance & cooperation with regards of industrial collaboration and related activities. Director assured that NIPER will play a pivotal role in skill development training as a training centre in the area of pharmaceuticals
Prof. Saranjit Singh (HOD-Pharma Analysis) briefed about the historical background of the facility, the idea for such a facility was envisaged in the 2005. He also included that this facility will be a role model for the national and international level of institutions.
Prof. UC. Banerjee (HOD-PTBT) strongly desired that same kind of training will be surely of benefit to all Pharmaceutical students.
Prof. A.K Bansal (HOD Pharmaceutics & In charge Dosage Plant) reformed the students for scope for utilizing the facility of Pharma industries.
Chief Guest Sh B.K Samantray, Deputy Drugs Controller, appreciated the TDC-Dosage form (Formulation) NIPER for having this type of facility and conducting the Pharma industrial training. He emphasized the importance of such quality facility for the students and other trainees mentioning that this type of training will fulfil the industry –academia gap which is the prime requirement particularly in India. He assured that on academic platform institutions, only NIPER Mohali is having this Type of Pharmaceutical Industrial GMP facility which is built as per the regulatory requirements, to train the students during their academic tenure for the industry challenges.
