MP Vikram Sahney nominated to Parliamentary Committee of Commerce
Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament, has been renominated to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce, underscoring his consistent efforts in advocating for trade and industry, particularly with regard to the interests of Punjab. Dr. Sahney has been an active voice both in Parliament and outside where he has consistently raised significant concerns on national and regional trade issues.

Dr. Sahney has been championing the cause for Industrial development in Punjab by successfully getting 1200 acre Rajpura Industrial Corridor approved and 10,000 crore rupees for upgradation of Semi-Conductor facility at Mohali. He has also raised crucial issues like the extension of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the bicycle, toy, and leather industries to support Punjab’s industrial growth.

Dr. Sahney has represented India on international platforms such as BRICS and SAARC. He has served as the Chair of the ICC Chamber of Commerce, Paris- India Chapter and as an active member of the Board of Trade, a key advisory body for the Ministry of Commerce.
