Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament, has been appointed as a Member of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on Finance and as a Permanent Special Invitee Member of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on External Affairs.
Dr. Sahney has been instrumental in repatriating Indian nationals stranded abroad, successfully facilitating the return of over 150 individuals since assuming office as a Member of Parliament. His dedication to humanitarian efforts is further exemplified by his earlier work in 2020, during the Afghan War, where he played a pivotal role in evacuating over 500 Afghan Hindus and Sikhs, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
In addition to his humanitarian initiatives, Dr. Sahney has been an ardent advocate for the fiscal health of Punjab. He has consistently raised crucial issues in Parliament, urging the central government to provide necessary measures and support for the state. His efforts aim to ensure sustainable economic development and address the pressing challenges faced by the region.
