Maharishi Dayanand Public School organized a Skit on water resources

Maharishi Dayanand Public School organized a Nukkad Natak on the occasion of Water Resources Day in its campus MDAV Bhawan Daria, Chandigarh in collaboration with the Environment Department Chandigarh Administration. Students conveyed the message that water is an essential resource for all living beings on earth. Clean drinking water is continuously decreasing. People in dry areas are facing water scarcity.

Water gets polluted due to wasteful flow of water and dumping of garbage in the water bodies. Innumerable animals, birds and humans die every year due to lack of water. It is very important to control the flow of waste water. Many people misuse water. Being aware of the water problem, they should come forward in spreading its awareness. Every work has to be initiated by oneself. The attitude of thinking has to be changed. Reservoirs need to be protected.

Forests play an important role in keeping the environment clean. These contribute to keeping the water pure, so plantation should be done. The water crisis is in front of man due to an increase in population. It is very necessary to save the water resources in the world. Every drop of water is priceless. The students also told about the proper use of waste water.

Students were also honoured with prizes for excellent staging. Principal Dr. Vinod Kumar said that the main objective of this program was to inform about the importance of keeping water resources clean and protected.
