Lockwood & Co. Release Date, Cast, Plot & all About the British Detective Thriller Series
In the role of Penelope Fittes, we will see Scottish actress Morven Christie in the upcoming series ‘Lockwood & Co.’
Joe Cornish has directed the upcoming British thriller tv series ‘Lockwood & Co.’ which is adapted from the same named book series by British fantasy fiction writer Jonathan Stroud.
The series was first planned on May 19, 2020, and the cast members were confirmed in March 2022. The filming started in July 2021 and concluded in March 2022.
The premise of ‘Lockwood & Co.’
The plot of the series is set in London and revolves around a small start-up of ghost hunters named Lockwood & Co. The start-up is operated by two teenage boys and a girl who is physically gifted.
They are highly talented ghost hunters who embark upon nightly journeys full of perilous combats with deadly spirits. The trio does not have financial motives and is free of adult supervision. The series will tell us whether they will be able to unravel the mysteries of history.

Ruby Stokes-
Playing the role of Lucy Carlyle, we will see English Actress Ruby Stokes. In the 2016 movie ‘Una’ she played the younger version of the titular Una Spencer, the old version of which was played by American actress Rooney Mara.
Then in 2019, she played Agnes in the coming-of-age movie ‘Rocks’. Stokes is also known for playing Francesca Bridgerton, the third Bridgerton daughter in Netflix’s popular historical romantic series ‘Bridgerton’ from 2020 to 2022.
Ivanno Jeremiah-
English actor Ivanno Jeremiah will be seen playing the role of Inspector Barnes in the upcoming series. He starred in the 2018 anthology movie ‘London Unplugged’ in the role of Carlton.
The next year he was cast in the British movie ‘The Flood’ playing Haile. Jeremiah is set to star as James in an upcoming sci-fi dystopian thriller, ‘Woken’.
He played the character of Tahir Takana in series two of the British television serial ‘The Jury’ in 2011. 2015 to 2018 in Channel 4’s sci-fi series ‘Humans’ he portrayed Max from 2015 to 2018. As Christopher Roberts, Jeremiah starred in series 3 of the British fantasy series ‘A Discovery of Witches in 2022.
Luke Treadaway-
British actor-singer Like Treadaway will be seen playing a character named The Golden Blade in the upcoming series.
He played Barry Howe in the 2005 mockumentary ‘Brothers of the Head’ which was about conjoined twins Tom Howe (played by Harry Treadaway, Luke’s brother) and Barry Howe.
Treadaway’s other film credits include ‘Dogging: A Love Story, ‘Heartless’, ‘Clash of the Titans, ‘The Whistle-blowers, ‘Late Bloomers’, ‘You Instead’, ‘Attack the Block, ‘Killing Bono’, ‘Cheerful Weather for the Wedding, ‘The Rise’, ‘St George’s Day, ‘Unbroken’, ‘The Rack Pack’, ‘A Street Cat Named Bob, ‘National Theatre Live: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’, ‘A Gift from Bob’ etc.

Morven Christie-
In the role of Penelope Fittes, we will see Scottish actress Morven Christie in the upcoming series ‘Lockwood & Co.’.
In 2006 she played Katie in the British movie ‘The Flying Scotsman’. As Young Mother, she starred in the Scottish movie ‘Shell’ in 2012. And Margaret was cast in the 2014 British romantic movie ‘Lilting’.
Christie played the character of Rose Maylie in the British miniseries Oliver Twist, based on Charles Dickens’ same-named novel ‘Oliver Twist’ in 2007.
The next year she played Jane Bennet in the British tv miniseries ‘Lost in Austen’. English actor Ben Crompton will be seen playing Julius Winkman in the upcoming series. His film credits include ‘102 Dalmatians’, ‘Blow Dry’, ‘All for Nothing’, ‘Picadilly Jim’, ‘Nativity!’, ‘Kill List, ‘Blood’, ‘Before I Go to Sleep, ‘Peterloo’, ‘Rebecca’ etc.
In 1998 Crompton was cast as Charles Newton in the miniseries ‘The Life and Crimes of William Palmer. The next year he starred as Billy Johnson in the two-part miniseries Butterfly Collectors’. He also starred in HBO’s celebrated epic fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones in the role of Eddison Tollett from 2012 to 2019.
Crompton’s other television credits include ‘Clocking Off’, ‘Ideal’, ‘Man Stroke Woman’, ‘Collision’, ‘The Sinking of the Laconia’, ‘Pramface’, ‘Hit & Miss’, ‘The Great Fire, ‘Strike’ etc.
Other cast members of the series include newcomer Cameron Chapman who will be starring in the role of Anthony Lockwood, the titular Lockwood, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati playing George Cubbins.
‘Lockwood & Co.’ is set to have eight episodes in the first season. It will release on January 27, 2023, on Netflix.
