We are a country with more than one billion people. And only two third of our rural population can read. Education is deemed as a luxury for the underprivileged. There are a lot of helpless families which cannot afford to send their children to schools. A rapid increase in population, insufficient public funds and lack of resources are some of the biggest challenges the country is facing. Majority of the educational funds are allocated for higher education with a little attention given to primary education.

For a nation to succeed, education is a must. Kunal Bansal says we cannot expect a country to grow if the majority of the population remains uneducated. This is where India lacks as a country. Primary education is not accessible to all. The ones who are enrolled often drop out because of the financial conditions of the family. Other reasons that denies education to the children are social issues like gender differences, caste and color based discrimination.

India relies on highly educated people for its economic growth. The lack of education is one of the major reasons why India is not developing as fast as it should be. Even a simple step or a small contribution can help change the scenario. There are foundations out there trying to make a difference. There are people who care about the country and these poor children. Kunal Bansal Chandigarh, who is a regular teacher at a government school, is doing his part. He has a regular job. And after coming from work, he helps the poor children with education.

Kunal Bansal Chandigarh is pretty much content with his life. His mission is to make education accessible to all irrespective of their caste, color, status and gender. He comes from work and teaches a batch of 43 students in his house. These are the children who cannot afford to go to school. And the number is growing. It all started when a girl from his school dropped out because her family was not financially strong to send her to school. Kunal Bansal made it his mission that day that he would help all the children he possibly can. He now goes to slums and talks to kids who do not go to school. Then he speaks with their parents and asks them why they are not sending their children to school. And he will offer free education to children who cannot go to school because of any reason.

Not only this, Kunal Bansal also help these children with money. If there is a need to buy anything to help these kids with their education, he spends money from his pocket and gets it done. Education is a gift and we can help these kids with education, we can actually allow them to unlock their full potential. Now what Kunal Bansal is doing can mean a lot to these people.
