Kids ‘R’ Kids School observed National Dengue Day

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Sector 42-C  observed National Dengue Day at its campus. The Students were guided about the disease, its causes and prevention. They were told that dengue fever starts with sudden onset of fever, followed by severe headache,muscle and joint pain.An animation video was shown to make them aware about the mosquito-borne disease. Students of grade VII presented a play “Dengue” and explained the precautions to be taken like water from coolers and other small containers  should be removed atleast once a week.

Personal protective measures such as mosquito nets , coils, clothes that covers arms and legs in rainy season can be used to prevent mosquito bites. After that a pledge was taken by the students and the staff members.

Anupam Grewal ,Director Principal of the School informed at the moment that such workshops enlighten the students   how to tackle the menace of this deadly disease quickly. She further added that Dengue is a major health concern during monsoon. It is an entirely preventable disease. If precautions are taken on time, we can prevent the onslaught of this disease.
