‘Kids for Health’ camp held

A ‘Kids for Health’ mega camp was conducted by Dr Rashmi Pandove, a Max Hospital’s child and newborn care specialist at Small Wonder School, Mohali on Wednesday.

During camp, kids were made aware of healthy eating, healthy playing. They were urged to increase outside play activities with friends and say no to TV viewing and mobile gaming.

The camp was also aimed to make parents aware of long term implications of sedentary, mobile addicted lifestyle which is not only increasing the incidence of obesity, diabetes and hypertension in the growing kids but also is a major reason of increasing incidence of loneliness behavioural problems and clinical depression later on in life.
