The 2nd Alumni Meet of Khalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies, Mohali was held its campus premises. The campus was abuzz as the event witnessed active participation from alumni ranging across various batches from MBA, M.Sc IT, M.Com, M.A (Sociology), PGDCA, B.Com, B.Com( Honours), BBA, BCA and BA. The Alumni diaspora in abroad also connected over video conference to participate in this celebration.
The event started traditionally with the lighting of lamp by Sr. J S Gill, Alumni Member, Khalsa College Governing Council, Amritsar , Dr Harish Kumari, Principal and staff members of the college.
J S Gill, Chief Guest of the event, Principal and Faculty Members welcomed the alumni and appreciated their zeal to assemble for the meet despite their busy schedule and called for greater participation of alumni for the development of the Institute as many hold positions of responsibility in various government organizations, private sector, academic institutions and have also been recognised as emerging entrepreneurs in the global front.
Speaking at the occasion, Principal Dr Harish Kumari said, “We at Khalsa College, Mohali provide all of our past students a platform to stay connected amongst themselves and also stay committed to the Institute and students across different batches including the present students. We are also proud of the achievements of our alumni. We would also like to thank all our alumni students for showing immense support towards the institute through various initiatives even after passing out.”
Various cultural programs were organised for entertainment like dance performances, singing, stand-up comedy, fun games and views shared by Alumni. At the end, Dance Party were organized followed by lunch.
Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
