Kartik N Pujari and Shaveta Pandit win gold Medal: -19th Cadet & Sub Junior Sqay National Championship 2018-2019

19th Cadet & Sub Junior Sqay National Championship 2018-2019, organised by the Sqay Association of Chandigarh under the aegis of Sqay Federation of India, recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India commenced today at Sports Complex, Manimajra Chandigarh. More than 400 players from 23 States are participating in this 3 day National tournament.
Kartik N Pujari Goa First, Aarav Barik Andaman Nicobar Second, Mohammed Arafat and Maulik Kamboj third in 34 Kg weight, Shaveta Pandit first, Sumikshana second, Bhikshika Gopalani third position in less than 30 kg weight. On this Chief Guest Ch. Aman Boparai, Vice President, The Jat Samaj Kalyan Parishad, Haryana, honored the winners.
Ch. Aman Boparai appreciated and lauded the efforts of the Sqay Association of Chandigarh and said that the Association along with the Sqay Federation of India has done a tremendous service to this ancient martial arts sport of India. After felicitating winners, Ch. Aman Boparai said that we must all unite together on a common platform to ensure that this ancient martial arts sport of our country gets its due recognition and is made an Olympic sport.
The Govt. of India has taken many such steps to ensure that apart from cricket, other sports like Sqay are also promoted and made popular under the Ek Bharat Sherashth Bharat scheme.

On this occasion, the President of the Sqay Association of Chandigarh Mr. Vijay Thakur along with Mr. Gurdeep Khokhar, General Secretary informed that Dr. Bashir , President, Sqay Federation of India also graced the occasion accompanied by General Secretary Grand Master Mir Nazir.

Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

Powerful new missiles are ready to be used

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
