Announcement of PHDCCI Leadership for Punjab, Haryana & Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Mr. Gilhotra, a prominent philanthropist and entrepreneur, brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as the Chair and Co-Chair of the PHD Chamber, Punjab. He is also the Vice President of the World Punjabi Organisation, Chandigarh, and the President of Hockey Chandigarh. As the Founder of the Karan Gilhotra Foundation and Plaksha University in Mohali, Mr. Gilhotra has made significant contributions to education and social causes.
Also, Mr. Gilhotra’s achievements include being recognized in the Limca Book of Records as the Youngest Sarpanch in the country. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Economic Times Entrepreneur of the Year 2018, Punjab Youth Icon 2020, and the 15th August State Awards for Public Service in both 2020 and 2021.
On his appointment, Mr. Gilhotra remarked, “It is an honor to take on the role of Chair for the Punjab State Chapter of PHDCCI. I look forward to collaborating with industry leaders and policymakers to foster sustainable growth, promote entrepreneurship, and work towards the economic development of Punjab. Mr.Gilhotra’s leadership is expected to further strengthen the PHDCCI’s mission to support businesses in Punjab, fostering economic growth, advocating for public policy reforms, and promoting industrial development.
Mr.Sajan Kumar Jain, Chairman, Indo Autotech Ltd has been appointed as the Chair of Haryana State Chapter of PHDCCI. MrSajan Kumar Jain is a leading industrialist in the Automobile sector based out at Faridabad and also a well-known philanthropist. Mr.Sajan Kumar Jain while speaking at the occasion mentioned Haryana as the land of opportunities; Haryana Government has come out with lucrative policies to promote industry in the state. He will try to promote these policies so that industry may avail maximum benefit from these policies.
Mr.Madhu Sudan Vij, MD, Modern Automobiles has been appointed as the Chair of Chandigarh Chapter of PHDCCI. Mr.Madhu Sudan Vij is a leading businessman in the region and has been active in promoting the industry in the region. He is an old member of PHDCCI and has served two terms as Chair, Chandigarh Chapter earlier as well. Mr.Madhu Sudan Vij while speaking at the occasion mentioned he will work closely with the industry and trade in Chandigarh region to remove their problems and align with the vision of Chandigarh Administration.
