Chandigarh, Kalibari Chandigarh is all set to host the Pran Pratistha of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna from today at its temple premises. Monks from various centres of the Ramakrishna Mission (RKM) are arriving as the sacred rituals begin on Saturday evening. The auspicious “Adhibas” ritual—part of the Pran Pratistha—will involve immersing the idol in water, grains, and other sacred substances to purify, heal, and identify any imperfections. This essential step precedes the consecration of the idol with divine energy. The evening will also feature a soul-stirring dance drama titled ‘Siddhartha to Buddha – The Divine Leela of Sri Ramakrishna’, conceptualized and directed by Amrita Ganguly. The performance draws deep parallels between the lives and spiritual missions of Gautam Buddha and Sri Ramakrishna.
This four day long sacred Pran Pratistha ceremony will be led by Swami Shantatmananda ji of Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram and Swami Sukhananda ji of Ramakrishna Mission, Bhuj, as the Tantradharak on Sunday. Each day will feature traditional rituals like Kali Pooja, Mangal Aarti, Bhakti Geet and authentic Bengali vegetarian Prasad. Cultural highlights include a Hindi play ‘Divya Sparsh’. Renowned kirtaniya Padda Polash and his ensemble will present devotional Kirtan. The concluding day will host a Special Kali Pooja, blood donation drive and free medical and eye check-up camps for the community.
