The first name that comes to our mind when it comes to hard work and knowledge is Jugraj Rainkh.
JR was born on 6th October 1991 in Khanna and he also completed his schooling from here. Khanna is a Punjabi word, which means one quarter or one fourth. The city was named thus because it used to be very small, just a quarter of what a normal city should be. Khanna is an ancient town, which came into existence 500 years back. The city is 40 km from the city of Ludhiana on the Grand Trunk Road (National Highway 1) and is home to Asia’s largest grain market.
His father S. Rajinder Singh and mother Smt. Kuldeep Kaur always wanted him to study hard and become a government employee. He took admission in Punjab Agriculture University for B.Sc. Agriculture in 2009. He was always interested in music but he realized his true passion while he was in the hostel. He had ample free time to follow his dreams. He made a few YouTube videos and got the music done from somewhere. Then he realized that we won’t go too long until he learned to compose music on his own.
He started exploring on the net. He studied soft wares and also learned to play the guitar. In 2011 he started composing music and played songs for friends. After 2 years he was completely drowned in music and realized that he is truly made to bring a revolution in the field. Soon after he felt that a brighter future awaited and he needs professional training to gain an edge. He knew that people had great expectations from him.
He went to Bombay to pursue a course in sound engineering. He met many strugglers and starters in the same field and realized that the path was not easy. After completion, he moved to Goa and worked as a crewmember.
He came back to Punjab in 2013. He worked as a helper in many studios to learn the practical side of it. After a few months of experience, he was ready to take over the world with his own studio. He invested his savings and made a soundproof room with all the necessary equipment.
He started making songs and did his first commercial song for Karan Benipal for the song “Mere Yaar 17 Sector” in 2014. The song did very well and then there was no looking back. He started working for T-series, Sony Music, Speed Record and by now he had almost 100 songs in his list as a music director. By now he had the resources to launch his own song as a singer.
He released his debut song in 2017, “High Kirdar”, which was released by Sony Music and the audience appreciated this Track. It was followed by “Feel Proud” and finally Bebe Bappu in December 2018. By this time he had also done music for many renown singers as well.
Deepika Bahri, the CEO of Antraajaal says “He is so down to earth and humble yet determined. It is always a pleasure to work for his upcoming songs, as they are full of values and emotions. Sometimes it feels like a dream that he is sitting in our office”.
Recently in an interview with JR, he said, “I am extremely grateful to my audience and listeners who encourage me to work better each time”.
Although each song is close to his heart but right from the start of his career he had decided to dedicate a song to his parents. He wanted to do it at a point of time when he would be recognized by the audience and had earned a name for himself.
Jugraj Rainkh has maintained his standards even after his success. He never promoted any song related to violence, drugs or any kind of abuse.
