Asha Jaswal, Mayor of Chandigarh today honoured the coordinators of Self Help Groups of city slums in a programme organised by MC Chandigarh at Regional Institute of Cooperative management, Sector 32, Chandigarh in association with NULM cell. During the programme 30 Swachhgrahis were honoured for their immense contribution in Swachh Bharat Mission.

Putin saif this a day after Russia fired a new intermediate-range missile into Ukraine for the first time. he added that the firing of the missile was prompted by Ukraine’s use of US missiles and British cuise missles to hit Russia.

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
