Hundreds shop for Diwali gifts, decorations as CII Chandigarh Fair concludes
Hundreds from the region thronged the Parade Ground, Sector 17, venue of the 24th edition of CII Chandigarh Fair 2019 and made the best of attractive discounts on a variety of products on the last day of the fair, today. The Fair concluded to an overwhelming response. People could be seen making a beeline till late evening hours for last minute shopping at the fair. The fair was organised by Confederation of Indian Industry for the 24th year in a row.
Shri V P Singh Bandore, Hon’ble Governor Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh, had inaugurated the Fair on 18th October.
Visitors made the most of attractive discounts offered by a majority of stall owners on Diwali gift items, festive decorations, attractive lights, chandeliers, wall hangings, jewellery, clothes, food items, etc. at the Fair.
“We look forward to the Fair every year for complete Diwali shopping. The advantage of finding so many options at one spot makes CII Chandigarh Fair irresistible. Right from buying a dress to wear on the biggest festival of the year to shopping for gifts for friends and family, the Fair gives umpteen options to choose from,” said Gurpinder Kaur, a resident of Patiala.
“I wait for this fair every year. It has always been a splendid experience to shop for Diwali here. The wide variety of decorative items especially dry flowers, are a must buy,” said Nikita, a resident of Bathinda.
CII is grateful to all its stakeholders for their untiring support throughout, especially the visitors, Ministry of AYUSH, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), Municipal Corporation, Fire Department, Chandigarh Police, Chandigarh Traffic Police, Media and other departments and authorities.
