Haryana Solar Policy will be announced soon: S Naryanan

3.5 Lakh households from Haryana have registered under PM Surya Ghar Yojna so far and Haryana Power department shall install Solar Roof tops on 5 Lakh houses till 2030 said Mr AK Singh, IAS, ACS, Energy Department, Government of Haryana.
He was speaking during the interaction with Power department to promote Solar Power in Haryana organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at PHD House, Chandigarh.
He mentioned Government of India has taken a target of 500 GW from Solar Energy by 2030 and it is quite possible through the PM Surya Ghar Yojna.
Mr S Naryanan, IFS, DG, HAREDA joined the conference as Guest of Honour. He mentioned that the draft Solar Policy is ready and will be notified soon it will give the much needed impetus to the solar industry in the state.
He further mentioned that the State Government is working hard to promote Solar Water Pumps and is giving upto 75% subsidy to the farmers. He further added Haryana stands No 1 in terms of usage of Solar water Pumps in the country.
He also invited industries to participate in the Energy Conservation awards organized by HAREDA
Earlier Mr Nishchaiy Behl, Co Convener, Tourism and Hospitality Committee, of Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI welcomed the Cheif Guest, other dignitaries and industry members.
He mentioned in today’s time energy security and climate change are paramount concerns and the government’s proactive stance on renewable energy, particularly solar power, is both timely and visionary.
Mr Parv Arora, Convener, Regional Solar and Power Committee, PHDCCI while raising the concerns of the solar industry mentioned issues related to net metering and disbursement of subsidy for installation of Solar roof tops in the state. He suggested Power department to appoint district level officers to resolve the net metering issues.
Ms Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHDCCI while moderating the session mentioned PHD Chamber is the voice of industry and works as a  bridge between industry and Governments. She thanked officials from Power department Haryana for their participation and addressing the issues of the industry.
Also the Chief Engineers they listened the pain points of the Industry. Er Deepak Popli, Chief Engineer, Commercial & Operation, UHBVNL; Er Naveen Kumar, Chief Engineer, Commercial & Operation, DHBVNL and SE and Xen from these departments addressed the problem and challenges of the Solar Industry.
