Haryana CM Highlights Government’s Initiatives to Benefit Citizens
Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that over the past nine years, the state government has successfully achieved comprehensive development without any form of discrimination. The state government has executed a range of development projects and public welfare programs that have directly contributed to the betterment of the citizens.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a programme organized in Karnal on Sunday. He highlighted the government’s initiatives, such as the issuance of online BPL ration cards to approximately 12.5 lakh individuals through Parivar Pehchan Patra. Additionally, the Ayushman Card has played a significant role in extending crucial healthcare benefits to nearly 37 lakh families across the state. In another initiative to provide economic relief, the state government has raised the annual income limit for BPL beneficiaries from Rs. 1.20 lakh to Rs. 1.80 lakh, thus ensuring a wider reach of government welfare schemes to the beneficiaries.
Furthermore, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government has introduced over 100 online portals to offer online services and streamline the distribution of government scheme benefits directly to the public. This initiative has garnered national acclaim.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal urged the public to disseminate information about the accomplishments of both the Central and State Governments over the past nine and a half years. He said that the present state government is committed to serve 2.8 crore residents of the state impartially, transcending regionalism, nepotism, and corruption. The state administration has offered government jobs to deserving, qualified unemployed youth transparently, whereas the jobs were sold in the regime of previous government.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in previous governments, people had to go through the hassle of visiting leaders’ homes and the Chandigarh Secretariat for their needs and service requests. Now the state government, however, has made concerted efforts to facilitate people from the comfort of their homes through various online schemes. Additionally, online transfer policies have been introduced to ease the burden on the employees. He assured that the concerns and grievances of the public are being effectively addressed through Jan Samvad programmes being conducted by elected representatives in all assembly constituencies of the state.
