Gully cricket tournament’s jersey unveiled
In view of the Allengers Gully Cricket Tournament 2023 being organized by UT Cricket Association (UTCA) and Chandigarh Police from April 6, the tournament jersey was unveiled at Chandigarh Police Headquarters, Sector 9 on Wednesday. UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon, Mayor Anoop Gupta, Chandigarh Police’s SSP Kanwardeep Kaur (IPS), DSP Ram Gopal, Allangers Group Chairman RS Kanwar, UTCA members Rupesh K Singh and Ravindra Singh Billa unveiled the tournament jersey.
The tournament will be inaugurated by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwari Lal Purohit at Sector 16 Cricket Ground from 6.30 pm onwards on Thursday. The tournaments will be played in the morning and evening at ten different playgrounds in the city. The tournament will be of ten-ten over per inning with tennis ball on knock out basis. Sanjay Tandon said that the purpose of the event is to bring youth towards sports which helps to keep away from the clutches of dugs. The final match of the tournament will be played on 23 April.
