Google has launched its Best Artwork, Art and Crafts eBook of Home Science teacher and educationist Puneet Madan of Government Model High School, Sector 41D, Chandigarh, in its Art Exhibit. Millions of people can now view this Art and Craft e-book created by Puneet Madan through Google Books Search. Google’s Art Exhibit is an initiative where artists showcase their best artwork on prestigious Google books.
Puneet Madan, who has made her mark at the state and national level and now internationally, said that the various images created in her e-book released in Google’s art exhibit are of quilling, calligraphy, doodle mandala, zentangle, typography, vector art, dot painting made with paper, ink, water colours, acrylic paints, pencil colours and are on canvas, paper, cloth and wood. There are a total of 31 paintings and it took many months of hard work and concentration to make these intricate artefacts.
Special attention has been given to the barricades while making them, so that these paintings give their best presentation unlike other artists’ paintings. She said that in the e-book, the wrinkled face of a bastion, flowers, birds, spiritual, traditional dances and other paintings have been made in a very attractive and adorable style. She said that she has also worked a lot in the field of Phulkari, in which she was also successful in giving a modern look to it. She said that the artwork she created represents her inner spirit.
Puneet Madan told that this is one of her great achievements which has got applause from over the world. She told that she has been interested in Art and Craft since childhood and it’s in her genes as she has been using various artistic designs since childhood. She told that the late Prof. Sahib Singh, who had made the ‘steek’ of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, was her great grandfather, and the first research on Sheikh Farid was done by her maternal grandfather late Prof. Pritam Singh. She was greatly influenced by Pritam Singh, who was a strong scholar and creative thinker, who asked her to do something new in anything, and she used to do that work enthusiastically for which she was acclaimed.

She told that through her creative thinking she is bringing changes in art and craft and she is also striving for it. Giving Art and Crafts a new face in a new way and presenting it to people has been the principle of her life.
